Chevrolet Repair: no fuel to the back of my tbi, gm vehicles, frame rail

Question
I drive a 1990 4x4 suburban and just changed my fuel pump and fuel filter, but im not getting any gas to the tbi. Any insite as to why?? oh, and i was also told to check the fuel shutoff switch but i have no idea where to find it. anything would be appreciated

Answer
There is no fuel shut off switch in GM vehicles.  You said you changed the pump, did you check to see if you have power and a GOOD ground back at the pump connector?  Major issue with these trucks are the grounds from the pump connector.  They run a separate ground from the connector to usually by the drivers side frame rail by the tank, usually you can see it over the drivers rear wheel.  Check the connections at the pump, as well as the ground on the frame.

Just real quick, I'm glad that the wiring was the fix, but I answered the question on the 18th, the very next day after you asked, you read today, and you gave me a 6 on timeliness.  Just curious as to why.
