Chevrolet Repair: egr valve, chev blazer, exhaust gases

will unhooking egr valve cause problems with my 95 chev blazer...just had bunch of stuff done to pass etest in canada...and they repaced everything but the egr ....runs rough time to time..not all the time..just on intial take off...

It wont cause problem per say.  But your check engine light will come on and most likely flash.  If the carbon level inside the Intake is severe enough it will still cause the truck to run rough.  The egr is only there to recirculate the exhaust gases and clean burn them to the atmosphere.
