Lots of stuff.  Vacuum leak, maff sensor, missfiring.  Could be anyting,  you need to check for codes and view datastream for fuel trims long and short term

QUESTION: 1996 Toyota Avalon 3.0L engine, did diagnostic came up with code P1705 Manufacturer Specific DTC. what does this code means.

Hi,

Thats the direct clutch speed sensor code and its on the top of the transaxel.  By using that sensor the TCM changes line pressure and shift timing depending on engine load.  IT is probably defective.  The sensor's resistance is 550-650ohms.
