Chevrolet Repair: 92 chevrolet beretta, chevrolet beretta, k n air filter

Question
I have a 1992 Chevrolet Beretta and when i am driving and go to stop or turn it dies on me. when i push the clutch in to downshift and it even does it when i put it in neutral. I was just wondering what could be causing this to happen. I was told it could be the PCV valve. But i have a K&N air filter and i could find no PCV valve at all. Could you please help me figure out what is going on?

simplified IAC
Hey,

The PCV valve is in the rear valve cover towards the drivers side.  You may have a problem with the IAC valve as its very common this time of year.  The IAC valve is responsible for idle management.  The valve is controlled by the computer and maintains an acceptable idle.  It could be the valve, a vacuum leak, a bad 02 sensor or the computer and wiring itself.  You should have it scanned for codes and see ifthe computer sees a problem.
