Chevrolet Repair: 2004 Malibu transmission shift solenoid location, sensor values, transmission shift solenoid

Question
My 04 Malibu LT won't up shift to 3 or 4th?  Replaced filter and fluid.  What about solenoids, where are they located, do you think this could be the problem?

HEy,

Solenoids are inside transmission and are not externally accessible.  You need to have it scanned for trouble codes and properly diagnosed.  Those transmissions are fully electronic and proper datastreams and sensor values are imperative for shift timing.
