Chevrolet Repair: HELP, battery cables, chevrolet truck

Hi I have a 1998 Chevrolet truck with a 4.3L V6. When you try to turn the key nothing happens at all. The lights or radio won't come on ,and i have a brand new battery that just got put in. It makes no noise when you turn the key.

You need to check the battery cables right down to the starter and to the block.  YOu probably have a rotten + cable down near the starter by the exhaust manifold on the passengers side.  They start to rot about 2" from the starter.  Remvoe and clean this connection and check the ground to the block.  It sounds like a connection problem.
