Chevrolet Repair: 2005 Suburban 2WD, lean condition, knock sensor

Question
My 2005 Suburban with 38K miles pings when it pulls our trailer...especially when taking off from a stop.  It does it when the trailer is not loaded down heavy.  It sometimes also pings when it is cold and not pulling the trailer.  When it warms up it seems to be better.

Answer
Sorry for the delay my dad had a bypass surgery on Tuesday and I am just getting to these messages now.

Have you tried upping the octane or adding a modifier?  If not have the computer checked for codes and make sure the knock sensor is ok.  It wouldnt hurt to clean the throttle body and MAFF sensor.  A dirty MAFF will cause a lean condition and cause it to ping.
