Chevrolet Repair: heater core ? for 92 chevy full size van, vacuum lines, inlet hose

i just bought a '92 chevy full size van with a 350 motor, and the heater doesn't work very well, think it might be the heater core, but not sure where its located and how to check and remove it. changed the thermostat and flushed the radiator and put new antifreeze in but heater still kicks out cold air. what might cause this?

Have you tried to flush it?  If flow or a restriction is a problem you will feel it with your hands at the firewall.  IF the inlet hose is hot and the outlet is cold you don't have any flow through the core.  Check for shutoff valves with broken vacuum lines.......
