Chevrolet Repair: chevy wont start, chevrolet silverado, battery connections

2000 chevrolet silverado 1500 5.3l It sometimes will turn over then it will abruptly stop turning over. Turn the key again and nothing, keep turning the key it will turn over then lock up again..

Hey Joe,

  Check the battery connections very closely and take them apart to clean them.  If it has dual positive cables (two that come into one) split them apart when undoing it from the battery and make sure there is NO corrosion between them.  It sounds to me like you are having a current interruption to the starter.
