How do you take out old and install new trasmission on 1500 4x4?

Answer
Depends on what year but lets go with an older one.

  Pop hood and undo the detent cable from the throttle body first.  You will thank me for this later.

  Raise vehicle.  Undo driveshaft and remove from vehicle,  Take converter shield off and undo converter bolts. Remove linkage to transmission. Take transmission stud bolt out and subframe X4.  Lower transmission and remove cooler lines, detent cable 10mm bolt and transmission bolts. Same thing in reverse to install. Make sure you flush the cooler and put in an inline filter.
