Chevrolet Repair: brake lines, brakes, brake lines

have a friend who repaired his brake line with compression fitting. i dont think thats a good ideal with the pressure brakes have. what do you think? thanks dan

Technically it is illegal to do this.  If for some reason he crashed and they investigated the car and found a compression fitting on the brake lines he would be liable.  That being said it will hold for a while.  It can be used as a quick fix but not a long term fix.
