Chevrolet Repair: 96 Chevy astro died, wont start, chevy astro, independant shop

Question
Hello,
I have a 1996 Chevy Astro (4.3L) that recently quite while I was driving. I coasted to the side of the road, but it would not start.
I had the fuel pump replaced a year ago, so I would assume that it should be ok, (and I can hear it running when I turn the key).
I replaced the fuel filter just a week ago also, so that should not be a problem.
I checked and it is getting spark, but not starting, so I guess it's fuel related....? I'm a bit confused, where should I start? Thanks

Answer
Are you getting a strong spark?  Could be ign module.  Could be a fried computer, or computer part.  Could be fuel delivery issues like a bad injector or set of injectors.  Could be vapor lock in fuel system.  Could be electrical.

You need to have this scanned.  That will tell you much.  Autozone will do it free, if they feel you will buy a part there.  You need to drag it there though.  Scanning at a independant shop should be $50 and that should apply to any repairs if  you use that shop.

Too many possibilities for me to help based on your description.  Sorry.
