Chevrolet Repair: alternator, forgeting, serpentine belt

Question
I need to remove the alternator on a 1997 1500 silverador 350 5.7, any helpful hints?

Answer
REMEMBER THE BELT ROUTING.  TAKE A PIC IF UNSURE OR AFRAID OF FORGETING HOW THE ROUTING GOES.  DON'T OVER TIGHTEN THE WIRES ON THE BACK.  COULD CRACK THE PLASTIC PARTS.  REPLACE THE SERPENTINE BELT IF IT IS AGED AT ALL.  MAKE SURE THE PULLEYS MATCH UP.  IF NOT, CHANGE THEM AT THE STORE.  MAKE SURE THE AMPERAGE IS ENOUGH FOR ALL YOUR ACCESSORIES.  THE BIGGER WIRE ON THE ALTERNATOR IS STRAIGHT BATTERY POSITIVE VOLTAGE.  DON'T TOUCH THIS TO ANY METAL OR YOU COULD BLOW UP THE BATTERY.

SIMPLEST OF JOBS.  SHOULD GO PAINLESSLY
