how to set detent cable from transmission to fuel injection

You leave the car off.  You press the button that looks like a 'Capital D'.  If it doesn't spring back, you push the part that is sticking out (with the teeth on it) back all the way.  Then release the button.  Now, using your fingers, put the throttle to wide-open-throttle.  This will pull the toothed extension back out of the throttle cable.  Once you hit WOT, the extension is set.  That is it.
