Chevrolet Repair: 1995 chevy 4.3L 6cyl fuel regulator, port fuel injection, colored rectangle

Question
I am attempting to change my fuel regulator, but not sure where it is located. I don`t have a manual. Can you help? I would like to see a diagram. Thank you very much.

Answer
Hi Tyler Evans,

I don't have a diagram, sorry:(

However it is located on the fuel rail.  I assume you have port fuel injection...which means a fuel injector at every piston.  If so, they all connect at the top by a chrome colored rectangle.  This is the fuel rail.  On this fuel rail, you will see a large device in a corner, usually in the rear.  That is the regulator.

If you have a carberator looking fuel injection, you have throttle body.  If that is the case, the regulator is located on the underside of the front of this.  It is round and resembles the float bowl from the old days.

Do a google search for an image of a fuel regulator.
