Chevrolet Repair: headlights dimming, serpintine belt, altenator

 I own A 1996 CHEV S-10 BLAZER 4.3L V6 4WD,My headlights dim
  when I let off the gas pedal,when I give it gas the head
 lights brighten, the Altenator is charging, battery tested
 ok, when I stop and idle in park the headlights dim,when I give it gas the gage shows battery charging ok.
 The serpintine belt is new, Have any idea what tne problem
 can be.

Hi Dominick Amoroso,

This is tell-tale classic BAD REGULATOR.  This is located inside the alternator.  Is the alternator producing 14.3 volts?  If it is under 13.8 V then it is not sufficient.

Could also be a loose belt, but today that is rare...with the tensioners on the belts.  This is definately an alternator issue.
