Chevrolet Repair: no power what so ever!, serpintini, fuse box

our 2000 venture ls has no power what so ever not even the security light for the radio is flashing and the battery is not dead and i checked all fuses. still cannot find problem also we just got it back tuesday from serpintini who was supossed to have fix the problem and $300 and 3 days later we still don't know what it is

HI Patrick,

You lost all power, as if the battery was disconnected?  Either you lost a fuse box, the power to it, a main relay/fuse, or most likely you blew a fusible link.  

The fusible link is hard to diagnose (time consuming).  You need to know where they are too.  An electrical repair shop will have manuals and diagrams to pinpoint which link may have blew and where it is.  You can do this yourself, but will take patients.

Also could be plain old corrosion or loose wire.  Maybe a broken wire.  

Get your meter out and start taking readings from the battery out to everything that should have power.  Go toward the fuse box first.  Probe the wire and look for battery voltage to be present.  When not, you found the problem.
