Chevrolet Repair: 1987 chevy pick-up 4x4 vibration, bfg mud terrains, axle bearings

Question
Hi, thanks for your time. I have a 1987 chevy 4x4 truck. It has a vibration that seems to be coming from the rear at about 50mph. I had the tires balanced, new shocks, new u-joints,all new front end parts and new rear axle bearings. When it is sitting on the ground it looks like the drivers side rear wheel is leaning out at the bottom. Could this just be the way it is sitting? Have not driven it since I replaced the axle bearings. Have not put the housing cover back on for fear that I might have to take it back off. No visible damage in the rear end. What could be causing this vibration? Are there bearings in the rear end that could be causing this? Also it feels very sloppy in the back wheels when I hit a hole or bump in the road. Please HELP!!!!!
thanks Chris

Answer
I have had this problem myself on my 88. The axles themselves aren't the strongest(I bent mine). As your rolling down the road at about 30 to 40 miles an hr. Look at both rear wheels or even better have a buddy driving behind you and see if the wheels are rolling like there bent. If it appears that one or both of them have bent rims then I would say your axles are bent. As far as this is concerned your tires could also be causing the vibration if they are a pretty good offroad tire.(I have 35 inch bfg mud terrains and wow, they vibrate). Get back to me and let me know what you come up with. Kinda interested in this one.
