Chevrolet Repair: transmission leak 1990 s15 4.3l, input shaft, shaft seal

when i drive it for a while then stop tranny fluid starts pouring out from the front of the tranny somewhere what All..... could be causing this? please answer thank you...

One thing to check is the O-ring around the dipstick tube at the base of it where it goes into the tranny. Another thing is the seal around the input shaft of the tranny but I'm going to lean towards the O-ring. Usaully if the input shaft seal is leaking then it will leak at all times.
