Chevrolet Repair: 76 Chevy Luv, chevy luv, spark plugs

We have the above vehicle and it will not start.  Took it home from the shop after it had been charged-it started right up when we got it home it wouldn't start again but turned over.  My husband messed with the timing for a while- stilll nothing.  Got another coil - nothing.  Had battery checked - nothing.  Cleaned spark plugs still turns but no spark.  What do you suggest we do next?

The problem may be in the distributor itself. I'm not exactly positive but it sounds like the points have gone bad. You should be able to go to your local parts store and by a set for pretty cheap that should come with a diagram if your not familiar with them already.
