Chevrolet Repair: replaced brake booster pump, chevy dealer, brake booster

Question
I replaced my vaccum operated brake booster pump now I can't get the truck out of park unless I remove the switch on the brake rod and manually make the switch
any thoughts on this would be appreciated

I really can't tell you without looking at it but I would say you didn't install the new one properly. Best thing to do is look at one that is working and see if you can't figure out where the hangup is. You may have to take it all back apart again. If you go to your local chevy dealer they should be able to print you out step by step procedure on how to put it back together.
