Chevrolet Repair: Chevy Celebrity Engine Problem, coolant temperature sensor, chevy celebrity

I have a 1990 Chevy Celebrity V6 3.1L What do you believe needs to be replace or fixed in order for my car to run properly?  The
problem is when my check engine light comes on, my engine races, my spedometer does NOT
work, and the gas pedal has a hesitation.  When the check engine light is off, the car
tends to stall.  The problem is completly unpredicable.  The car has become undrivable.  I
have replaced the Coolant temperature sensor and the speed sensor.  I had the car to the
garage 3 times and nobody seems to know what the problem is.  Please help.

Hi Dan, Plain and simple....replace the ECM and the car will run GREAT. You will need to relearn the idle after replacing the ECM. Do this by running the car in drive for 10 minutes with the parking brake on. After 10 minutes turn off the engine for 1 minute and then run in drive for another 5 minutes.
