Chevrolet Repair: Blazer wont start., chevrolet blazer, pressure tester

Question
Hello Van,
I have a 99' Chevrolet Blazer that won't start. I was leaving the club one night in the rain, tried to start my Blazer, the belts turned like normal, but the engine wouldn't start. All the lights, horn, etc. worked and I had a little over 12v on the battery and half full tank of gas. I checked for water under the hood and spark plug connections. I'm guessing it's the fuel pump, or a component associated with it. I figure it wouldn't have turned at all if it was the starter or alternator. Or I could be wrong, I just wanted to ask for an expert opinion on a logical place to start looking for the problem. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Answer
Very possible water got into one of the numerous wire harness connections.
Gonna need to see if there is spark, and then see if there is fuel pressure. You should be able to hear the fuel pump inside the tank run for a few seconds when the key is turned to run.

Autozone will loan you a fuel pressure tester, and show you how to use it.
