Chevrolet Repair: chevy venture air conditioning, chevy venture, leak stop

Question
I have a 2002 Chevy Venture minivan with 55,000 miles. The air conditioner is blowing warm air. I checked the compressor and the clutch is running. The system was low in refrigerant so I charged it up to 37 psi. The chart on the refrigerant can says normal pressure is from 25-45 psi. The air conditioner worked great for about a day but now it is blowing warm air again. The system has lost pressure down to 30 psi. What should I do? It is obvious that there is a leak but the refrigerant I added says it has leak stop in it. However this did not work. Should I charge the system again not knowing if it will just leak out like the first time? Please help! Thank you.

Answer
Hi Tracy, The most common thing to leak is the condenser in front of the radiator. The leak can sometimes be seen at the lower corners of the condenser. You will see a damp area there. If you have rear AC the lines leak there.

Hope this helps
