Chevrolet Repair: 90 2500 5.7 4x4 suburban module ASM-f/pum, module gm, ecu module

Have replaced this module (gm#1005-2955) 30 days ago. 2 or 3 days before failure engine will stall- idling & at highway speed. when @ speed switching off then on brings it back to 'normal.' when it stalls @ idle it will crank back up, run for 20-30 seconds then cut off again. after 4 to 5 cycles no problem until i switch it off miles later. when the module fails, parts of it burn thru case. I replaced fuel pump 80 days ago and steering column 60 days ago. Truck is in very good shape-180000 miles,no rust & otherwise mechanically sound. any help would be welcomed

first of all, are you talking about the ecu module? and at any rate, if you just bought it 30 days ago, it should be covered under warranty. try replacing it again. you might have gotten one that was bad out of the box. if that doesnt work, youre looking at a wiring problem. you need to find what circuit in the mod is failing, then trace the wiring off the connectors for that circuit. good luck
