Chevrolet Repair: Stuck seat belt, side airbag, salvage yard

Hello,
I am a fellow Allexperts volunteer.I appreciate your time very much! My two sons were racing to see who could get their belt fastened the fastest. It is stuck and won't move at all! I am concerned if the passengers side airbag were to deploy (1994 model car). Is there a simple way to fix it myself?

in all seriousness, take the cover off the mechanism, and hit it with a hammer! lol. not real hard, while trying to pull the seatbelt. they may have just jammed the mechanism. if it frees up, work it several times to make sure its going to work. if not, something may have given out, and a salvage yard, or new replacement is necessary. hope i helped you. any more questions, please send them to me
