is there any way to get a wiring diagram as to what goes where

i replaced the starter in my 86 iroc. the post dont seem the same as the layout of the posts on the old starter, but is there supposed to be any empty posts? i dont think so but not sure, also isnt something supposed to go to the wire on the starter itself? i dont remember that post being empty
sorry this much sound retarded LOL but the iroc manual i ordered hasnt arrived, i can put parts together all day...but dont ask me to wire em LOL all i can wire is raidios LOL

Hi John, put all the red color wires on  the top post and put the purple wire on the small post that is torward the engine block. No wires on the small outside post and don't touch the lower large post where the wire goes inside the starter motor.

This should get you going
