Chevrolet Repair: 1994 astro 4.3, chevy lovers, junk mail

Hi van, i been reading all the problems with the W 4.3  I just bought a astro ext with that engine--it accellerates great but has a terrible idle when up to operating
temperature.. rather than replace the injection spider and the egr valve---can it be changed over to a 1988 tbi unit...i have a 92 astro tbi van that i drive everyday--it's extremely dependable--and a complete 1988 safari 4.3 for a parts truck...I wonder if i changed the computor,engine compartment wiring harness,and intake {tbi} on my 94 astro  would these parts work??  thanks--by the way you are the guru--excellent website !!!! jeff
