Chevrolet Repair: lumina pushrods, correct hole, autozone

Question
I changed the intake gasket and the pushrods were replaced in exact order and I now have no compression.  If I loosen them there is compression.  They are in order because I checked all the lengths ten times.  Any thoughts would be great.  Is there a way to set them once they have been pulled or do you just tighten them to specs in any position?

Answer
There is a very specific method for adjusting them, and the proceedure depends on the year and engine.

Just guessing, I would say you may have them out of order.
If I had the year and model I would look it up.
You can do the same by going to http://www.autozone.com/
and enter your vehicle information.
Click on repair info. Then vehicle repair guides. Then select engine/engine overhaul, then rocker arms.

The intake rods, and exhaust rods are probably different legnths, and MUST be placed in the correct hole.
