Chevrolet Repair: engine swapping, 4l60e, speed limiter

I have a 1993 C15 with a 4.3 tbi.looking to replace with a small blk 400,i have the correct heads with the throttlebody intake.what can i do to bypass the shutdown.I was told to place a 700r4 trans,inplace of the 4l60e with the 4l60e having a governor in the valve body.plz help,Thank You.happy holidays

Hi David, Not sure on what you mean by "shut down". If your talking about the speed limiter or rpm limiter they are both in the computer program. To change this you would need to buy a ECM from a place like Hyper Tech or other source.
