Chevrolet Repair: 1995 ASTRO VAN IDLE SURGE, fuel pressure regulator, vacuum hose

Question
I found an answer for this on the site, very helpful, but did you ever here back to see if the fuel pump preasure hose was the problem or if it was indeed a vacume leak?
Our van surges in park and in drive but the load of the transmission masks the surge a little. I don't we have replaced the tps and the van has hydroboost brakes
thankyou

Answer
It wouldn't be the fuel pressure hose. I would check the vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator, and the regulator itself.
It is mounted on the fuel rail, near the injectors.

If you use a tester, or just a little piece of vacuum hose and suck on it, there should be no fuel come through the hose, it should hold vacuum, and if you have a fuel pressure tester, applying vacuum to the pressure regulator, should change the fuel pressure reading.

An intermittent spark loss could also cause your surge.
