Chevrolet Repair: 1997 Chevy Camaro Hot Start Problem and Stall, chevy camaro, coolant temp

Question
Hi Mark:

Subject: 1996 CAVELIER HOT START PROBLEM.

I've been having the same hot start problems and pressing the pedal to the floor worked for me too.  You suggested the fuel regulator and/or a leaking fuel injector.  Would those two problems also cause the car to stop while driving (without warning)?  Just a check gages light comes on.  The oil pressure indicator moves between 40 and 60 while driving and the battery indicator has been getting higher at startup but going back to ~13 while driving.  Checked out ok.  I think the 02 sensor might also need to be replaced.  Could that cause the problem?  Thanks very much for your help!  The mechanics can't help me because it's intermittent, and now I'm afraid to drive on the freeway especially.

Answer
Hi Laura, I would check the fuel regulator first for sure. The only other thing is the coolant temp sensor, make sure it reads the correct temp. If it is saying that the engine temp is below 20 deg and you know it is warm, then that is a problem.

Sorry I don't have more on this one
