Chevrolet Repair: 93 Berreta: Dies when put in gear., air control valve, vacuum leak

Question
Van,  I hope you can help me.  Gotta '93 Chevy Berretta that dies after you drive it a while when coming to a stop.  It will start and seem fine but when you put it in gear it will die.  Replaced the engine control module (computer) and Idle air control valve with no effect on the problem.  After it cools down about 20 minutes it will start and you can get it out of the intersection.  Also, the abs brakes are very unresponsive during the incident of above problem.  What do you think.

Answer
I think there is a vacuum leak.

The brake booster is vacuum operated, and a possible source of the leak.
But I would suspect the EGR valve is sticking open, which will act like a big vacuum leak.

I would probably test the fuel pressure if I had it here, but that shouldn't affect the brakes, so follow the vacuum leak possibilities.
