How do I replace the passengerside dashboard speaker on a 1993 Chevy Astro?

Hello John....i have three answers that might help your situation. I have had the fun experience of up-grading a stereo system on one of these vehicles. One model dash pad has a grille for the speaker which requires that you remove two screws and pull up the grill to remove the speaker and grille assembly.The second edition dash pad you were able to remove by detaching the hold down screws and with a little effort..removing the complete dash pad. Now I have a friend who went through the area where the dash gages are to access the speaker also. It required removing the gage cluster ,but if i remember it was not that difficult once he removed the panel screws holing the face plate in....i hope this gives you some ideas...Best.
