Answer
Hello Chris...I drive a 1991 S-10 with 314,000 miles on it...I love the truck...now let's fix yours. .The first thing we will do is see if the engine turns over by hand. You will do this by removing the starter and using a large screwdriver to turn the flywheel..it should turn very easy. We want to make sure that the engine is not seized and that the starter will be able to ''crank'' the engine. I will assume that your starter and battery are good. You might remove the spark plugs to see if the fuel injection system hasn't filled one of the cylinders with gasoline. If this is the case the fuel regulator is probably missing the vacuum hose under the manifold..They have a tendency to fall off. Re-install with a hose clamp. You should also check the Negative battery cable to make sure the ground is good..Remember...A starter is nothing more than a short to ground..Connections are very critical in this area...Go take a look..Best
