Chevrolet Repair: 99 chevy monte carlo ls, alternator pulley, chevy monte carlo

Hello,

I'm having a big problem with my car and I have paid about 300.00 dollars for it to be fixed and it is not fixed, when I mash the gas pedal it just stays between 2 and 3 on the RPM reader, the volt light sometimes come on like its not getting enough power or kick, it don't cut off or anything it just sometimes want go and other times it drives fine.  It only happens when it rain, like something is loose or wiring is wet or not correct please help me.

Ok Gwen ...i think i need more information. I could tell you to change the serpentine belt and have the tensioner checked ,but i am not really sure of your explanation of the 2 or 3? It truly sounds like your belt is getting wet and slipping around the alternator pulley....Check this and get back to me...Best
