Chevrolet Repair: 2003 Chevy Tahoe Short Circuit, tahoe z71, chevy tahoe

Question
Hi. I have an '03 Tahoe Z71 that hit a pothole a couple of weeks ago, and since then, seems to short out whenever the truck shakes by going over holes or bumps. Sometimes the check engine and abs and check brakes warning lights go on, and the doors lock and unlock by themselves. Other times, when shaken, the car shuts itself down, no matter where you are or how fast you are driving. Power steering and brakes shut down as well as the engine. My mechanic and 2 electricians looked at it, but couldn't figure it out. Other than tightening up the alternator and battery connections, they were stumped. Later, at Chevy Service Center, they were equally stumped, as the car presented fine, but after shaken, their computer gave about 40 different non related failures. However, when the car is shut off and restarted, all symptoms disappear. They said he car itself was fine, but the aftermarket alarm was shorting out. Two alarm technicians later, and after the alarm having been removed, he same problem persists. Now I am told that maybe it is the on board computer. The truck revs up and down by itself, and revs so low that sometimes it shuts down. When stopped at a light in drive, the car sputters a little when the accelerator is depressed and almost dies out. When accelerated, the oil pressure now also quickly redlines. I'm not sure where to go from here. It seems like a simple short doing a lot of trouble, but not exactly sure. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Answer
Sergio...Do you have a battery hold down installed on your battery?   Did the positive post come in contact with the hood.it sounds like you have pulled a ground wire away from it's source. The impact might have also cracked the circuit board in the computer causing an intermittent fault. The erratic idling is the clue..i hate to spend money on computers, but your symptoms are all there. But before you do...check all those ground wires...Best to you!
