Nolan,
How are you testing the pump for power?
The power to the fuel pump will only last for 2 to 3 seconds (on initial key on)is why I ask this.
I'm not doubting you, just would like to help.
Do you have an inertia switch somewhere on the truck

i have checked with volt meter turning key on and off

Re-reading your question, I see you have no reading on the red wire. Re-check with ohm meter to find out why.

yes i have done that as well .could it be possible that the actuall ignition in the steering colum. cause it was acting up at one point in time.example is turn ignition off power still get too wipers etc.and the it fixed its self.went back to normal i figured that i might ask then buy another part that is not needed. nothing makes sence it was running totaly fine then just died. ps thank you for your time with this matter i appreciate all helpfull feed back that you have given me

Answer
Nolan,
Using an ohmmeter, I would like you to check the fuel pump relay. Tell me what the readings are. There should be a diagram on the relays top or side. The one I need you to look at is the solid line. If it tests at a 0 or INF, replace the relay again.
