Chevrolet Repair: Replacing Trans seals on 85 chev silverrado p/u, pan gasket, transmission repair

I am beginner on fixing up my old 85 and transmission is leaking oil, I was told by many friends that it could be seals.  If you have a diagram to show me step by step I would be most thankful.                     Thanks

Hi Dave,
At the public library, in the refference section, you can find all the manuals you can immagine.
A transmission repair manual, probably Mitchell, for that year, would be the best.

Make some copies of the pages you need.

The friends are right.....in that it "COULD" be seals, but then again, it could be the pan gasket, or a cooler line, or a broken case, etc.
You really need to get under there and see.
