Chevrolet Repair: inertia switch 1996 Chevy tahoe, inertia switch, chevy tahoe

Question
I took my car to Chevy dealership.  They said the fuel pump needed to be replaced.  I replaced it 2 years ago.  I was in an accident and was hit on the front passenger side, where my battery is located.  Could the inertia switch have been tripped in this collision?  I figured they would have caught that but maybe not.  The insurance company and this mechanic is giving me the runaround and I am angry.  Anything ti help would be great.

Answer
I can sympothize with your anger, but I am going to have to go with replacing the fuel pump if they can prove it by writing a statement that says,"If the fuel pump is not the problem, that they will pay for those repairs and give you the option to have it towed elsewhere."
Oh, and tell them you would like the old fuel pump.
