Chevrolet Repair: REAR DOOR LOCKING MECHANISM, blown fuses, chevrolet malibu

Question
I have a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu and about two weeks ago I was loading a couple of boxes into the back seat of my car. When I went to close the door, it bounced right back toward me. I decided to try the other rear door and it too did the same thing. This has not happened before. I tried everything I could think of from screwdrivers to checking for blown fuses for he power locks and nothing will move the locking mechanism back into the correct place so that the door can shut. For right now, I have the two doors held to the car with two "freight belts" (obviously not too safe). However, I do not have the money to go and have someone do a quick fix on this and charge me an arm and a leg if it is something I can do for myself. My local autoparts store suggested to check online for any safety recalls from the dealership, of which, I have found none. I just don't understand why one second everything is just fine and then the next (without any "out of the ordinary" action) neither of my rear doors will shut? If you have any information or ideas that you think may help or any ideas on how to deal with the dealership in this situation, I would certainly like to hear from you. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Answer
Your on the right track with the screwdriver. First, push the door unlock button once. Then try pulling the outside door handle and holding it in the open position, while doing this, use the screwdriver to lift the locking mechanism (half round circle) up to the open position. Let me know if this works!
