Chevrolet Repair: 1988 chev camaro RS, chev camaro, fuel pump relay

Question
I ran out of gas in my 1988 chev camaro 6 cyl fuel injected.  I put gas in and it started once but acted like it wasn't getting gas (wouldn't go anywhere).  It died, now won't start.  The starter engages but it seems like it's not getting gas.  There is over 1/4 tank of gas in it.

Answer
When an older car runs out of fuel and won't restart, the first, most likely culprate would be the fuel filter. The older cars have more particles in the bottom of the tank and when they are run low on fuel, these particles collect in the fuel filter and clog them up.
If this doesnt correct the problem, try sitting in a quiet environment, no radio, traffic or a/c on, turn the key to the on position and listen for the fuel pump to start humming. It should only make this noise for 2 to 3 seconds each time the key is turned on. This is the initial priming so the pump can supply the gas to start the vehicle.
If you dont hear this, check the fuel pump relay for power and/or resistance.
