i have a 1996 chevy suburban and the 4wd was working but now its not it blew a fuse and i replaced it and it blew to so i looked a little futher and found that the front axle that the acctuator had a bad wire replace i have 12volts at the plug when you plug the acctuator in u have no voltage

Answer
It sounds like you have an open in the actuator.
You can check this with an ohmmeter.
Should you need assistance checking the actuator for resistance, write me back with the amount of wires going to the actuator and the colors of the wires.
If it is only 2 wires, remove the actuator test for resistance.
If the actuator has a reading of INF or 0.00, the actuator is faulty.
