Chevrolet Repair: 2000 CHEVY S10 TPS, throttle position sensor, chevy s10

Question
Hi, i was wondering if you could help me. I have a 2000 chevy s10 that has always had a problem starting when sitting overnight with 1/4 tank of gas or less. Two days ago it started acting up when driving it , then a engine light came on. I took it to auto parts store to read the code and they said it was a bad tps throttle position sensor. Next day it wouldnt start, and i replaced the tps and it still wont start. Can you help me please? Did i do something wrong when i replaced it, because the parts man said that it just screws right back on.  Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hi Ben,
I doubt you did anything wrong if it seemed to go on easily.
But I would be checking the fuel pressure.
That same parts store might LOAN you a fuel pressure tester, since you buy your parts from them.

Your orriginal symptoms sound to me like the fuel is draining back into the tank, possibly due to a leak in a hose inside the tank, but the pressure test should help determine that.
