Chevrolet Repair: Buick Park Ave No-Start, buick park ave, electronic ignition control

Question
I have a 1993 Buick Park Ave, 3.8 liter.  The car starts perfectly immediately when I turn the key to Start.  But when I release the key from Start to Run the engine immediately dies.  It will restart again, but as soon as I release the key it immediatly dies again.

I have checked for fuel on fuel rail = OK.  I have spark.  I checked all fuses. I replaced the Electronic Ignition Control Module.  All have not fixed the problem.  Where should I look next?

Answer
Sounds like the ignition switch to me.
Try starting it, and then not letting the key completely back off to the run position, but slowly back it to that position, and see if it stays running with just a little pressure still on the key.

The ignition switch is NOT up there where the key is...it is down on the steering column, above the brake pedal area, and operated by a rod from the ley switch. The ignition switch is adjustable where it mounts, and may just need moved a little.
