Chevrolet Repair: Low Oil Pressure Warning Display, intake manifold gasket, low oil pressure

Question
Hi Mark, shortly after having the intake manifold gasket replaced ($$$) on my 2001 Impala , 3.4L, 75,000 miles; the dasboard display lit up RED indicating Low Oil Pressure along with the chime.  The same independent mechanic who replaced the gasket had difficulty believing the warning, and suspected/replaced the oil sending sensor---now the warnings occur more often than before.  Can an improperly replaced intake manifold gasket be the cause? What do you recommend? The car has never overheated.

Answer
Hi Gary, Wow.... I have seen a whole lot of these jobs done and NEVER seen this problem come up. I'm really not sure what they could have done wrong but something went bad!! Maybe run a crank case cleaner through it and put new oil to see what happens?

Sorry I don't have a answer for you this one
