Chevrolet Repair: s10 blazer wont run, s10 blazer, fuel pressure

Question
Hi, I have 92 s10 blazer w/ a 3.4 vortec. Yesterday it would start up and idle but would stall after you pressed the gas pedal down. I checked the fuel pressure it reads 35-40 psi when cranking. I replaced the coil, distribiter cap, rotor, and control module. I replaced the fuel injector also. I'm very frustrated w/ this truck Any Help? John

Answer
Hi John, The fuel pressure should be 55-64 psi when you turn the key on and not cranking the engine. It should also not drop in pressure. If you have low pressure or it drops you need to replace the fuel pump or pulsater. The pulsater connects to the pump and has a diapham that sometimes goes bad. Best to replace both if your not sure.

Hope this helps
