Chevrolet Repair: Corvette power door lock problem, electric door locks, pot hole

Question
Hello,
I have a '96 C4 standard convertible (Lt4/6 spd.). For the last few days, whenever I hit a bump (small pot hole, railroad tracks, etc.) the electric door locks on both doors unlock by themselves. I'm worried that the insulation may have worn off of a wire and that this may lead to something worse.
Thank you.

Answer
Hello Dave, I haven't heard of this before, figures right!!
I guess the first thing I would suspect is the door lock switches. Maybe you could disconect one at a time to see if this stops them from unlocking. The wiring on these cars is really good so I have a feeling that the wiring is not the cause.

Let me know how you make out
