Chevrolet Repair: 1986 Chevy Silverado, neutral safety switch, conversion job

Question
I have installed a B&M Megashifter in my truck and am looking to locate the Neutral safety switch and the reverse switch.  I need to find both of these to somehow hook them up to the switches on the new shifter.  Also i am supposed to take the old shift LEVER out and somehow make the column lock so none of these parts in the column move or fall on their own.  Hopefully you got all the info 1986 Chevy silverdao  or they call it a c-10 2wd put a 350 engine in it.

Answer
Hello Adrian,
The switch that provide both of those functions is mounted to the steering column, up above the brake pedal area.
For a GREAT conversion job, you should replace the steering column, which would take care of the blocking problem.
Salvage yard trip maybe?
That switch on the steering column....you need to look at it, but it might also be the ignition switch. At any rate, there is going to be some kind of lockout mechanism that mechanically prevents the ignition switch from starting the engine while in gear, so it will need some attention.
