Chevrolet Repair: s-10, fuel line, temp sensor

Question
I have a 89 s-10 auto with 2.5L 4cyl, I put in a new fuel pump and filter and new set of spark plugs,  I will start it and it will only run for 3 min, it runs like a kitten for that 3 min, then it will die and not start, it will start and run about  3 sec and die, just keep doing that over and over, So I let it set for an hour and it will start right up and run good for its 3 min and then die again, I have took the fuel line off and it shoots gas all over the place, so its getten gas, it acts like I turn the fuel pump off, when it is a warm day it will start and stay running, if I can get the motor warm it will run all day long, it just does this in the cool mornings, I also took a injector off a junk 2.5l and swaped put it on this motor, no change, any ideas?

Answer
Hi Cody, I'm not sure what to tell ya on this one. I would try to locate way it's not running when it stalls. Is it missing fuel or spark. You can do this by spraying carb cleaner into the throttle body and start the engine. If it stays running then it is a fuel problem. I would also disconnect the temp  sensor for the coolant to see if this help any.

Sorry I can't be more help
